PASQUA VALPOLICELLA RIPASSO SUPERIORE 2020 (VENETO, ITALIA)
Baby brother to the Amarone, this Valpolicella's complexity is enhanced when it is "passed over " the grapes of its big brother, Amarone, where it undergoes a secondary fermentation. This process dates back to the feudal system when everything was employed (and reused) to its fullest capacity. Once secondary fermentation is complete, the wine is aged for a specific number of months in oak barriques to acquire the Superiore status.

This wine pays homage to the patron saint of Haro; San Felices. Every year, on June 29, the Famous Wine Battle reenactment takes place on the cliffs near the Ermita (hermitage) de San Felices. To join the celebration, come dressed in white and be prepared to climb the mountain and be drenched in wine. The event pours up to 40,000 litres of wine for over 5,000 participants.

PASQUA VALPOLICELLA RIPASSO SUPERIORE 2020 (VENETO, ITALIA)
Baby brother to the Amarone, this Valpolicella's complexity is enhanced when it is "passed over " the grapes of its big brother, Amarone, where it undergoes a secondary fermentation. This process dates back to the feudal system when everything was employed (and reused) to its fullest capacity. Once secondary fermentation is complete, the wine is aged for a specific number of months in oak barriques to acquire the Superiore status.
Full-bodied, offering cherry, soft plum and vanilla on the palate, finishing with smooth tannins.
